Rick H's Half Iron Breakthrough
Muncie Endurathon (Half Iron Distance)

This race was a stepping stone for Rick H as he is training for Beach 2 Battleship, which will be his first iron-distance triathlon. This result was significant because, in his third attempt at a half triathlon, Rick broke six hours. Not only did he break six hours, he smashed it with a 5:22!
Rick's breakthrough comes from a number of factors aligning. We have worked on training in correct HR zones. He has also experimented and found a nutrition plan that works on race day. Finally, he invested in a new Kuota tri bike from ACME multisports.
After a period of declining results, Rick is loving training and racing again.
